Calypso Mangoes – Mumbrella

Eleven Communications has launched a TV campaign for fresh produce company One Harvest to promote its Calypso mangoes. The agency claims this is the first TV campaign in Australia for a brand of fruit.

With a series of three commercials, the campaign carries the tagline: “With more mango and less seed, you can’t go past a Calypso.”

Eleven wins Fantastic Furniture – B&T

Budget furniture retailer, Fantastic Furniture, has appointed Eleven Communications as its lead creative agency, without a pitch.

The national furniture chain has been without a creative agency since December last year, following its split with The Foundry which it appointedin May 2009. Prior to that Fantastic Furniture handled creative in-house.

A new voice in historic campaign – SMH

AUSTRALIAN advertising history will be made tonight with the screening of a television commercial featuring an indigenous language voiceover with English subtitles.

The 30-second ad promoting greater literacy levels among indigenous children features the voice of an elder from Tennant Creek, a remote community in the Central Desert, speaking in Warumungu language.

THE $720 million Australian banana industry will launch an advertising campaign promoting bananas as the healthy packaged snackfood, taking the anti-obesity fight to confectionery and processed snackfood manufacturers.

A $3m television campaign — the industry’s biggest ever — will be launched next month presenting the banana as “nature’s energy snack”.

Horticulture Australia Limited has appointed new start-up retail agency Eleven Communications to work on its upcoming summer fruits campaign.The appointment comes at the same time as the national organisation has appointed Ikon Communications to work on the $3.5m (estimated main media spend) account.

THREE senior staffers from retail agency Ideaworks set up shop on their own last week, forming a new full-service retail business called Eleven Communications.

The trio — former executive creative director Jonathan McCauley, former operations director John McLachlan and former head of art Ryan Fallowfield — aim to fill a gap in the market between high-end brand agencies and small, tactical marketing agencies.
